【ハードウェアに関する諸注意】
M/B：P6T SEやDeluxeではSouth Bridge等が異なるのでこの手順では不可能。
HDD・DVDドライブ：DVDドライブはICH10RのSATA1ポート（赤）、HDDはICHICH10RのSATA2ポート（赤）に接続し、
他のポートにHDDは接続しないこと。JMicronのSATAポート（オレンジと白）ではインストール出来ない。
グラボ：GeForce 8400GSならおそらくどれでもこの手順で動く。
キーボード：Mac OS Xで"USB 高速バス"と認識されているポートに接続しないと、BIOSとDarwin及びMac OS Xで認識されない。
BIOSの設定画面は[Del]キーとなっているが、
ディップスイッチ3をONにしている場合、[Fn] + [~ `]というキーコンビネーションになる。
電源：このケースとの組み合わせではATX 24ピンとEPS12V 8ピンが届かないので、延長ケーブルが必要。
ケース：前面パネルにeSATAポートが無い。代わりにIEEE1394ポートがある。
この手順ではIEEE1394は認識しない。P6TはATXなのでマイクロATXのケースには入らないので注意。
モニタ：ドライバインストール後は1680 x 1450で動作し、QuartzExtremeもサポートされる。
インストール前は1024 x 768でQEはノンサポート。

4. 起動中にmDNSResponderのエラーメッセージが表示されてハングしたように見えるが、
さらに以下のメッセージが表示された後、時間がかかるが最終的にはLeopardのインストーラが起動する。
display: family specific matching fails
言語選択の画面で放置するとフリーズするので注意。
選択画面が表示されたらすぐに「主に日本語を使用する」を選択して次に進む。

5. インストールするディスクが表示されない場合は、ディスクユーティリティを起動して、
ハードディスクを左のペインで選択し「パーティション」タブに切り替える。
「ボリュームの方式：」で「1 パーティション」、
「オプション...」ボタンで「GUID パーティションテーブル」を選択して、
「フォーマット：」で「Mac OS 拡張（ジャーナリング）」としてフォーマットする。

6. お好みでLeopardをインストールする。

7. 最終的にインストールに失敗するが無視して再起動する。再起動時にSlimBuild-Preboot.isoに入れ替えること。

【手順3 DSDT Patcherを適用する】
【注意】手順3と4が全て終わるまで、再起動しないこと。
再起動をした場合、あるいはこの手順書によるインストールを行うのが2回目以上の場合、
- ディスクユーティリティでGUIDからMBRに切り替えてフォーマット、GUIDに再度切り替えてフォーマット
- ddコマンドでパーティション・テーブルを書きつぶす
といった方法でdisk0s1を一度消さないと、インストールがうまくいかなくなる可能性がある。

【手順4 EFIパーティションを再構成する】

1. Finder上でefi_boot_v6.1.zipとEFI_pack_v3.zipを展開する。以下の手順はDesktopで展開したものと想定。

2. ディスクユーティリティを起動し、インストールするディスクのアイコンを右クリックし「情報」を表示する。
UUID（092A3430-27B6-3334-AA47-E9BDBD0E693Eという形式の文字列）を選択し、
デスクトップにドラッグ＆ドロップして、クリッピングしておく。

3. ターミナルを起動し、sudoを実行。
$ sudo -s

4. diskutilコマンドでディスクのIdentifier（識別子）を確認する。disk0s2になっているはず。
$ diskutil info / | grep Identifier

5. diskutilコマンドで一覧を取得し、隠しEFIパーティションを見つける。disk0s1になっているはず。
$ diskutil list

6. diskutilコマンドで隠しEFIパーティションをフォーマットする。
$ diskutil eraseVolume "HFS+" "EFI" /dev/disk0s1

7. ターミナルに戻り、5で展開して作成されたディレクトリに移動する。
$ cd ~/Desktop/efi_boot_v6.1/

8. ディレクトリ内のファイルを確認する。
$ ls

19. カーネルモジュールをコピーする。

20. カーネル、設定ファイル、パッチ済みのDSDT.amlをコピーする。

21. mach_kernel.voodooを/ディレクトリにもコピーする。理由は不明だが、これをしないとうまく動かない。

23. update.shを実行して、後片付け。

24. 終了して、BIOSの設定を変更する。

【手順5 10.5.7にアップデート】
【注意】アップデート・再起動後、各アプリのウインドウ描画がおかしくなるが、
NVinjectをインストールすることで直る。【手順7】を参照。

1. MacOSXUpdCombo10.5.7.dmgを展開し10.5.7にアップデートする。
10.5.8以降へのアップデートはここでは保証しない。
VMware Fusionを利用する場合、次の手順を実行する必要があるので、
インストール終了時に再起動せずに、2を実行する。
VMware Fusionを利用しない場合、インストール後、そのまま再起動可能。

2. Voodoo_Kernel_Release_1.0_Rev_A.dmgをインストールする。インストール後、再起動。

【手順6 ソフトウェア・アップデートを実行】

1. 10.5.7以外のアップデートは動作確認済みなので、適用可能。

【手順7 ビデオドライバをインストール】
【注意】VRAMを512MB搭載したグラボなので、
512MB用のNVinjectをインストールしEFI Studioなどで編集したがうまくいかなかったので、
とりあえず256MB用のNVinjectを導入してある。Quartz Extremeなどは利用可能になる。

1. Latest_NVinject.0.2.1.zipとKext_Helper_b7.zipを展開する。

2. 展開したNVinject.kextを右クリックして「パッケージの内容を表示」して、
Contents/Info.plistをエディタで編集するか、ターミナルで直接、次のようにviなどで編集する。
$ vi ~/Desktop/NVinject.kext/Contents/Info.plist
編集する箇所は

とする。

3. Kext Helper b7.appを起動し、NVinject.kextを画面にドラッグ＆ドロップしてインストールする。

【手順8 オーディオドライバをインストール】

1. ALC1200_SLIM.zipを展開し、
フォルダ内にあるAppleHDA.kextとHDAEnabler.kextをKext Helperでインストールする。

【手順9 「この Mac について」を修正】

1. AboutThisMac.pkgをインストール。

【手順10 TimeMachineの修正】

1. TimeMachineで「バックアップディスクを選択...」すると、
「Time Machine を構成できませんでした。
内蔵ネットワークインターフェイスが見つかりませんでした。」と表示されるエラーの修正。
IONetworkingFamily.kext.zipを展開し、Kext Helperでインストールする。

【手順11 Timeoutの設定】
【注意】ここまでの設定に問題がなければ、以下の設定をして自動的にLeopardが起動するようにする。

1. ターミナルを起動し、sudoを実行。
$ sudo -s

2. マウントポジションを作成。

【手順12 USB関連のトラブルを修正】

1. ターミナルを起動する。

2. 現在使っているカーネルバージョンを確認する。

.exeの駆除

(1)

まず、“スタート”ボタンから“ファイル名を指定して実行”を選び、入力欄に“msconfig”と入力し“ENTER”を押す。すると“システム構成ユーティリティ”が開く。その中から、“スタートアップ”のタブを開くと見慣れないIFVIEWとUIFV22が複数見つかるはずである。ここにIFVIEWとUIFV22が登録されているために、Windowsが起動する度にスタートアップとしてワンクリックウェアが起動されてしまうのだ。

次に“Ctrl”+“Alt”+“Delete”で“Windows タスクマネージャ”を開き、“プロセス”タブの中にこれらと同じ名前のプロセスが動いているか確認し、もし動いている場合にはそのプロセスを終了させる。

(3)

“システム構成ユーティリティ”の“スタートアップ”の中やファイル名検索で、ワンクリックウェアに関係するファイルの所在を見つけだし、それぞれ“Shift”+“Delete”で完全に削除する。図1は本体のファイルの1つを突き止め、これから削除するところである。
本体は下記の2つのファイル:
・C:\Document and Settings\\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\IFVIEW.exe
・C:\Document and Settings\\Local Settings\Temp\UIFV22.exe
またスタートアップフォルダ内にある本体へのショートカット:
・C:\Document and Settings\\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\UIFV22
・C:\Document and Settings\\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\UIFVEx22
・C:\Document and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\UIFV22
・C:\Document and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\UIFVEx22

“スタート”ボタンから“ファイル名を指定して実行”を選び、入力欄に“regedit”と入力しレジストリエディタを起動する。“My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run”の中にある“UIFV22”と“UIFEx22”の値をそれぞれ削除する。同様に“My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run”の中の“UIFV22”と“UIFVEx22”の値も削除する。そして念のために“My Computer\HKEY_USERS\<数字>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\MUICache”の中のIFVIEWも削除する。

最後にもう一度(1)の手順でスタートアップのタグの中を確認し、UIFEx22とIFVIEWが削除されていれば駆除は完了となる。

htaの駆除

(1)

まず、“Ctrl”+“Alt”+“Delete”で“Windows タスクマネージャ”を開き、“プロセス”タブの中にある“mshta.exe”のプロセスを終了する。

次に“スタート”ボタンから“ファイル名を指定して実行”を選び入力欄に“regedit”と入力しレジストリエディタを起動する。“My Computer\HEKY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run”の“C:\WINDOWS\system32\mshta http://<ワンクリック詐欺サイト>/pc/page/player_view.php?code=&cuid=”の値を削除する。

PCを再起動し、スタートアップとして“mshta,exe”が立ち上がらないことを確認する。

が間違っていました。
これは
00:03.0 PCI bridge [0604]: Intel Corporation Core Processor PCI Express Root Port 1 [8086:d138] (rev 11)
が、ビデオカードに使われいる PCI express ですが、対応する ioreg の中に、 PEGP の名前が現れないので見直ししたら _ADR が 0x00010000 になっていることに気づきました。

/Extra/DSDT.aml を置き換えて、リブートしてもう１度 ioreg -lw0 の出力を教えてください。
v003 を添付してあります。

また、 LAN0 (Ethernet) のエントリーも加えてみてみましたが、こちらは動作にはおそらくいたらないとおもいます。 kextutil の出力をみるまでは、理由がわかりません。

まれに起動できなくなるマシンもあるので、「だめもと」ですけど。

これは
BIOS に USB Legacy mode をはずすように要求する
EHCI を BIOS から取り戻す

です。 USBLegacyOff は BIOS で設定されていれば不要です。

いずれも PCI レジスタに直接アクセスしたりするので、動作しなかったり、問題があれば外してください。
うまく行けば Sleep/Restart が動作する可能性があります。

DSDT
DSDTTEST.aml
は、私のテスト用の名前なので　DSDT.aml に変えるか、そもそもその２行は取り除いて /Extra/DSDT.aml をみるようにします。
また Wait
Y
はブートの最後で一時停止するので、 Chameleonの画面出力をみるのでなければ不要です。

GA-P55A-UD3R.dsdt.zip に Chameleon とビデオなし（つまり元の状態）の DSDT を作りました。
（私のテストと同じ状態）
DSDT.aml は/Extra にいれ、 boot は / に入れていください。
"boot" は
sudo install ./boot /
で、ルートディレクトリにインストールしてください。

もしも複数のパーティションがあるのであれば、どれが最初のパーティションかわかればそこに、わからなければ念のためにすべてのパーティションに入れておいてください。

添付した　Chameleon は mozodojo branch の RC5版です。
CPU C-state/S-state の自動生成ができるので超便利です。
（私のマシンでは p-state が動作しています。 c-state は動作しているのかどうかわからないけど）

まず、上記の Paragon をインストールしている場合、アンインストールする
ターミナル.app を立ち上げる
diskutil info /Volumes/volume_name⏎
とタイプして(volume_name には、Windowsパーティションの ラベル名を入れる。
Boot Camp の場合、ディフォルトでは、BOOTCAMP である)、
Volume UUID の値をコピーする。
もし、/etc/fstab というファイルが存在するならそれをバックアップしておく。
※ Snow Leopard をインストールしただけの状態では、このファイルは存在しないので次の手順で作成する
ターミナル.app で、
sudo nano /etc/fstab⏎
と打つ。
そのまま、
UUID=
まで打って、クリップボードの Volume UUID の値をペーストし、半角スペースの後に、
none ntfs rw
と打つか、もしくは (手順3 で Volume UUID が無かった場合)
LABEL=volume_name none ntfs rw
とタイプする。
※ Boot Camp の場合は、LABEL=BOOTCAMP none ntfs rwとなる。
他に、NTSFフォーマットされた Windows パーティションがあれば、手順6を繰り返す。
コントロール + X を叩いた後、[Saveするか？]と聞かれるので、Y を押し、[この名前 (fstab) でいいか？]と聞かれたら、⏎を叩いてセーブする。
その後、再起動すると、NTFSパーティションは、普通に読み書きできる状態になる。これで、32-bit だろうが 64-bit だろうがちゃんと動く。動作は速く、なかなかよろしい。隠しファイルのファイル属性まで認識する。

Straight forward 10.6.3 upgrade guide

I’ve written a simple and pretty straight forward upgrade guide on how to successfully upgrade from 10.6.x to 10.6.3. I’ve made sure that everything works and I’ve made it simple for everyone to understand.

Prerequisites :-

These articles are important to read as its important to understand few key aspects before reading this tutorial. You’ll then begin to see that a pattern emerges out this when there is a major upgrade

Mac OS X v10.6.3 Update (Combo) or Mac OS X v10.6.3 Update (if you’re upgrading from 10.6.2)

Legacy Kernel (10.6.3) or Legacy_Kernel (10.6.3) Installer (required if you’re using Intel Pentium 4/D , Intel Atom , Intel Core i3 series and mobile and other variants of Core i series and as well as for AMD Users)

SleepEnabler.kext.10.6.3.zip or SleepEnabler.10.6.x.zip (recommended) (Needed if you want Sleep working)

QE CI Exotic cards 10.6.3.pkg (For ATI users) (obtained from netkas)

Important Notices and Known Bugs with 10.6.3 and Hackint0shes

Its important to read this as there will be known bugs with 10.6.3 and few other stuff. My Guide takes care of them but its my duty to notify you and how to fix them :-

AppleHDA Issue (Only applicable if you’re using native Apple Audio Driver ) – Apple has removed support for a variety of ALC codecs such as ALC888. So if you’ve been using native audio driver. You’ll have to use drivers from 10.6.2 or earlier. Alternatively you may want to try VodoooHDA. VodoooHDA users are unaffected by this. So if you’re using VoodooHDA , you don’t have to worry about this
Intel GMA Issue – Apple has also removed 64-bit drivers for Intel Graphics. If you were on x86_64 OSX86. You might have to revert back to 32-bit version or use your old 10.6.2 kexts
Sleep/Wake Issues - Some users have also reported that when OSX wakes they lose sound , usb and couple of other things. The exact cause for this is still unknown , however I’ll update it once I manage to trace it
Fix USB Issues – For some motherboard (especially if you’re using an AMD Chipset or the newer boards with USB 3.0) this update breaks USB 2.0 support. The only way to fix it by using an older version of IOUSBFamily.kext (which is from 10.6.2 or 10.6.1)
Graphics Performance Issues - It seems that a lot of folks do complain the graphics performance has significantly dropped from 10.6.3 to 10.6.2. You may want to use older drivers , however its not recommended. This applies to both nvidia and ati graphics card

How-To :-

1. First thing first , download the combo updater or delta updater. Do not bother to use Apple’s auto updater functionality , it just breaks couple of things. Its recommended to download the dmg and run the pkg manually.

2. Once you’ve downloaded. You’re required to remove SleepEnabler.kext. This kext can be located either in your /System/Library/Extensions folder or /Extra/Extensions or your EFI partition. Once you’ve removed this file kindly rebuild your extensions by either using Conti’s pfix (bundled with myHack) or Kext Utility or via Terminal. Reboot your Hack once you’ve done that

3. Now in a clean state be sure to backup your /System/Library/Extensions by duplicating it . In other words simply Copy and paste the folder in another location. In this case I’ve pasted within the Library Folder. This is important as OSX 10.6.3 breaks a lot of stuff , for instance native sound driver and USB 2.0 compatibility on certain motherboards . Its important for us to have our last known working extensions.

Duplicate your working OSX extensions as its vital to get some hardware working with 10.6.3

4. Run OSX 10.6.3 Combo Updater or Updater once you’ve finished copying everything. (Note : If you’re using a patched kernel , the Combo updater may not run , giving you an error. To fix this you must get modbin’s test7 kernel. You may simply google for this)

5. Once you’ve done installing , DO NOT RESTART. Rather run pfix again and be sure to include the new SleepEnabler.kext . Once you’ve done that you may restart. However if you’re running this on Intel Atom/Pentium D (and other unsupported processors) and AMD processors 0 you may want to replace the patched kernel otherwise you’ll be stucked in an infinite loop . For ATI users you may have to install netkas’ exotic package before restarting and if you’re using Intel graphics with 64-bit kernel , you may have to boot into 32-bit

6. Just pray that everything works and everything is in place. Suppose if something is broken there are couple of ways to fix. The important part is that the system boots and you’ve GUI and your stuff there.

7. To fix issues such as with applehda and usb issues. Simply go to your 10.6.x Extensions folder and copy respective files such as IOUSBFamily.kext (for USB) and applehda.kext (for apple native audio driver) and place’em back in Extensions folder and be sure to run pfix or Kext Util once you’ve done that and it should be working. Alternatively you may want to navigate to kexts.com to find if there are any patched kexts for 10.6.3 !

[TUTORIAL] Upgrading to OSX 10.6.2

As we all do know that Apple has released an update for MacOS X Snow Leopard. For Hackint0sh users , its the time for you to rejoice as Intel i5 support and P55 chipset are officially supported (In other words , once Apple releases 10.6.2 Retail DVD , if they do. You could use Empire EFI and it would just work). As for those of us who have already installed MacOSX 10.6.1 or OSX 10.6.2. This guide takes you on how to do a safe upgrade. After all , we don’t want to break anything. Before we get started , you need to have several things. These are :-

Snow Leopard Retail DVD with Empire EFI or Boot-132 -or- USB Snow leopard – or Chameleon on a USB Stick
Know what kexts are installed in your /Extra or EFI partition
A linux installation somewhere which has native HFS+ read/write support or Windows with MacDrive installed
Conti’s pfix script or the commands on how to fix Kernel Cache via Terminal (if you’ve used myHack-on-USB-stick , its there by default)

Before you start reading this guide , I recommend you to read netkas’ blog for more up to date information and special steps that should be taken and plus what benefits that 10.6.2 gives us for Hackint0sh users !

First thing first. Firstly , go to Apple’s site and download MacOSX 10.6.2 Combo updater. Do not use system updater to update it. Instead download the combo updater. Now before we fire it up. Be sure to run Terminal. What we would be doing here is to backup our entire Extensions folder. This is just to be safe that , in case of screw ups. We could use patched kexts back. This is true because from time to time apple would remove support for certain card , and even certain processors. Recently , they did remove support for Intel Atom processors !

To do this , type

sudo mkdir /System/Library/Extensions1
sudo cp -R /System/Library/Extensions /System/Library/Extensions1

For Intel Atom users/Pentium D/AMD : You’ll have to backup your kernel as well. As there is no way that we could use Vanilla Kernel. To do this , simply type

sudo cp /mach_kernel /mach_good

Keep your terminal window at all costs

Now we have our extensions backed up to Extensions1 and our kernel has been backed up as well. Now its time for us to run Installer. Just simply install MacOSX 10.6.2 combo updater. Once that is done , do not reboot. Its time for us to restore patched kexts and (patched kernel if any). If you’ve used any patched kexts (i.e drivers) in /System/Library/Extensions. you’ll have to copy from your Extensions1 folder to your new Extensions folder. This includes any patched apple kexts such as patched IONetworkingFamily , Appleintel* graphics. Just copy from your Extensions1 to your extensions folder. As for patched kernel users , simply go back to Terminal and type

sudo mv /mach_kernel /mach_bad

sudo mv /mach_good /mach_kernel

Be sure to replace SleepEnabler.kext with a newer version from netkas’ site before rebooting , failure to do so may result in kernel panic. If you’re using your old kernel (aka for Atom users and Intel Pentium/AMD users) , you do not have to replace SleepEnabler.kext , only replace it if you’re going to use Vanilla 10.6.2 kernel !

What it does is that it renames mach_kernel as mach_bad and then it restores back our old 10.6 kernel . Once that is done , do not forget to rebuild your kernel extensions by running Conti’s pfix.sh script ! Reboot and just keep your fingers crossed. I’ll update this guide later on how to restore just in case of 10.6.2 screws up badly !

If something is messed up real bad , just simply use Rebel EFI or Chameleon boot disk to boot up back your installation and to fix things

I thought I’d mention this : For myHack users, if you should run into a KP related to SleepEnabler Kext, just boot to you HD using myHacked USB, and re-install myHack selecting needed Kexts while unchecking FilebufferDisabler, only this time also DE-SELECT the SleepEnabler Kext to remove it and reboot normally !

NVRAMリセットが可能であることを確認

コマンドラインから以下を実行。これで起動時にlinux等でおなじみの詳細なレポートが画面に出る。

$ nvram boot-args="-v"

一旦電源を落とし、cmd+opt+p+r を押しながら電源投入。キーは押し続ける。
そのうち再起動がかかって詳細起動画面ではなくいつものリンゴ画面が出ればNVRAMリセットができたと言うことでOK.

新カーネルをコピー

$ sudo cp BUILD/obj/mach_kernel /mac_kernel.custom
$ sudo chmod 644 /mach_kernel.custom
$ sudo chown root.wheel /mach_kernel.custom

起動カーネル変更

$ sudo nvram boot-args="-v Kernel=mach_kernel.custom"

起動時にカーネルのビルド日付が出るので、

新カーネルの日付になっていることを確認する。

(日本語環境でビルドすると文字化けする。その場合は化けていることを確認。)

結果

手元の環境では起動が非常に遅く、ログイン画面でキーボードが反応しないと言う状態に。。

トラックパッドは反応していた。

NVRAMリセットで元のカーネルに戻して正常に戻った。

うまく動きはしなかったけど、気軽に起動カーネルを

変更できる手段が見つかったことは非常に嬉しい。

カーネルをいじって遊ぶことができる。

に情報があるのですが、公開されているソースからビルドしたカーネルを使う場合は AppleProfileFamily.kext を無効にしてやらないといけないようです。
自分の MacBook3,1 では、これでまともに動作するようになりました。

Macintoshを自作してみた．

※ここに記載した内容は技術的に可能であると記載しているだけで，使用を勧める物ではありません．
Appleのライセンス条項をよく読んだ上で自己責任に基づいてお読みください．
またこれは夢ですので現実とは一切関係が御座いません．

使用したパーツ

★Step１，OSXのインストール！

１．tonymacx86-P55BootCD.isoをCD－Rに書き込む．
ブータブルで書きこむこと．
２．OSXのISOイメージしか持っていない人はこれもDVDに書き込む．
８GB近くあると思うので2層ディスクが必須．
３．再起動してBIOSに入る．
以下の設定を変更する．
・SATAコントローラをIDEからAHCIモードに変更．
・高精度イベントタイマ（HPET）を有効にする．
・高精度イベントタイマを64bitモードにする．
・DriveAを無しにする．
この４つを変更したらセーブする．
４．１で書き込んだCDから立ち上げる．
５．Chameleonブートローダが起動する．OS選択画面が出たら
2で作成したOSXインストールDVDまたは製品版のOSXディスクとスワップする．
６．ドライブが安定したらF5キーを押してリロードする．
７．MacOSXInstallDVDを選択して起動する．
（ここでATI系のビデオカードを使っている場合は－ｘオプションを付けて起動する．－ｘオプションが無いとカーネルパニックになる．Geforceでもカーネルパニックになる時は－ｘをしてみると良いかもしれない．ちなみに－ｘは”セーフモード起動”）
８．OSXインストーラが立ち上がる．ここで言語選択で日本語または英語を選択する．
９．インストーラが起動したらユーティリティメニューからディスクユーティリティを起動して，OSXをインストールするドライブを”MacOS拡張（ジャーナリング）”でフォーマットする．
１０．フォーマットが完了したらディスクユーティリティーを閉じる．
１１．１０でフォーマットしたドライブにOSXをインストールする．（２０分前後）
１２．途中でエラーになるはず．具体的には”OSXを起動出来ませんでした”という内容の画面が出る．ここで強制的にPCの電源を落とす．再度電源を入れて，１で書き込んだCDと入れ替える．
１３．OS選択画面になったらここでOSXをインストールしたドライブを選択してEnterキーを押す．（ただしATI系カードの場合はここでも－ｘオプションを使う．）

Step2　インストール終了後のカスタマイズ！
１．OSXセットアップ画面が出たらセットアップを完了する．
・ユーザーアカウント作成，Appleユーザー登録など
（ちなみにユーザー登録画面ではcommandキーとQキーを押すとスキップ出来る）
２．OSXが立ち上がったら，ここからセットアップ作業に入る．
３．とりあえずここからは予備知識が必要．
ちょっと下までスクロールして＊欄を読んで欲しい．

４．MultiBeastを起動する．
インストーラ画面が立ち上がったら，”続ける”をクリックする．
簡単な説明画面が出る．”続ける”をクリックする．
OSXにカスタムインストールのメニューで以下のファイルを選択．
・Chameleonツリー内のPC-EFI
・Audioツリーの中のALC８８９（ボードによって異なる）
・Networｋツリーの中のR1000SL（マザーによって異なる．）
・DSDTツリーのDSDTファイル（マザーによって異なる）
・Extrasツリーの
64bit　com.apple.boot.plist
MacPro4,1smbios.plist
・Standard Snow Leopard Kextsツリーの中の
facesmc.kext
EvOreboot.kext

５．インストール完了後再起動する．
再起動時に必ずCDからブートする事，HDDのChameleonはこの段階ではまだ無効．
Radeon系カードの場合は－ｘオプションを忘れずに．
６．R1000SL.kextを適用したのでネットワークインターフェイスが有効になる．
ここでシステムアップデートを行い，10.6.2にバージョンを上げる．

７．10.6.2適用後再起動がかかるが，ここでCDを取り出す．
HDD上のChameleonを使ってOSXがブートするはずである．
しかしRadeon系カードの場合まだ－ｘオプションが必須．
８．Radeon系カードを利用している場合はここを参照して欲しい．
ただしこれはRadeon４８５０の有効化についてである．
その他のカードの場合OSX８６wikiを参照して欲しい．

９．スリープ機能の有効化
DSDTパッチも適用してほぼすべての機能が正常に作動するはずである．
しかし一つだけおかしな機能があるのではないか？
スリープ機能が何故か正常に機能しない．
筆者はここで５時間以上時間を費やした．
原因はappleintelcpupowermanagement.kextである．
これはたぶんCPUの電力管理を行っているドライバだと思うが，これがあると
スリープから復帰しなかったりPOSTスクリーンにもどってしまう．
筆者はこれを削除する事で対応したが，もっと賢いやり方があるのかも知れない．
このkextの場所はHDDルート￥システム￥ライブラリ￥Extensionsの中にある．
場合によっては削除してしまっても良いかも知れない．
削除した後にもう一つ必要なkextがある．
Googleで検索すれば落ちていると思うがSleepEnabler.kextを探してこよう．
10.6.2専用のものが必要なので注意して頂きたい．

重要！

「kextのインストール後はキャッシュファイルの再構築が必要になる．
これを簡単に行うにはkext Utiltyというツールが便利である．
単純に実行するとシステム全体のキャッシュファイルを再構築する．
Extensionsフォルダをドラッグすると，そのフォルダに関するキャッシュだけを再構築してくれる．」

※　Kextを置く場所について．
「kextは基本的にExtensionsディレクトリの中に配置する．
Extensionsの場所は，
・HDDルート￥システム￥ライブラリ￥Extensions
・HDDルート￥Extra￥Extensions
この二つが存在する．
基本的にはどちらに配置しても同じであるが，
HDDルート￥Extra￥ExtensionsフォルダはOSX標準の場所ではなく，
Chameleonのコンセプトとして
「OSXのカーネルをほとんど改変せずに通常のPCで動かす」事を目的としている側面がある為で，
HDDルート￥システム￥ライブラリ￥Extensionsに配置すると，システムアップデートなどで
追加したkextが消えてしまう恐れがある事も考えられる．
特別な理由が無い限りはHDDルート￥Extra￥Extensionsの方が良いかも知れない．

上記作業が完了したら環境設定の省エネルギーですべてのチェックボックを有効にしよう．
その後再起動すると，スリープ機能が有効になるはずである．

１０．DSDTパッチの編集をして電源ボタンによるスリープを有効にする．
DSDTパッチを適用しても電源ボタンによるスリープだけは適切に機能しないはずである．
しかし幸いにもこれは簡単に修正が可能だ．
DSDT.amlはそのままでは編集出来ない．
.dsl形式に変更した上でテキストエディタ上から書き換えを行う．
DSDTの書き換えを行うには，iaslMeというツールを使う．
Googleで探せばヒットすると思う．
iaslmeをダウンロードしたらデスクトップなどの適当な場所にコピーしよう．
HDDルート￥Extraディレクトリ内のDSDT.amlをデスクトップにコピーする．
ｃｐコマンドを使ってもFinderからでも構わない．
コピーしたDSDTをiaslmeの上にドラッグする．するとデスクトップ上にDSDT.dslが
完成しているはずである．これをテキストエディタで開き，
Device (PWRB)

この項目を見つける．
Name (_HID, EisaId ("PNP0C0C"))
の部分を
Name (_CID, EisaId ("PNP0C0C"))
に変更する．

変更が終わったら保存して再度iaslmeにドラッグすると.aml形式にコンパイルされるはずだ．
これを再度HDDルート￥Extraディレクトリに書き戻す．
再起動して電源ボタンを押してみよう．スリープするはずである．

以上でOSXのインストールは完了である．
これ以外にも必要なkextがあるかも知れない．
以下で筆者のインストールしているkextを紹介する．

★オプショナルインストール
筆者の環境ではその他に再起動に不具合が見られた為kextを追加している．
筆者が追加しているkextを一覧にしておく．
なおkext追加後は必ずキャッシュの再構築を忘れないようにして欲しい．

evoreboot.kext・・・再起動に関する問題を修正する．
fakesmc.kext・・・温度管理等のデータを取得する．（これは必須？）
LegacyHDA.kext・・・ALC889を認識させる．
LegacyATI4800Controller.kext・・・Radeon4850を有効にする．
SleepEnaber.kext for 10.6.2・・・再起動を有効にする．
PlatformUUID.kext・・・UUIDの相違によるTimeMacineの問題を解決する．（必須？）
R1000SL.kext・・・ReaktekR1000ネットワークインターフェイスを有効にする．

★追記：
smbiosの中身を編集しないとメモリ認識やプロセッサの認識が不完全である．
smbiosについて書いておく．

以下は筆者の環境のSMBIOSである．
このまま使ってもらっても基本的に支障はない．

・DSDT.amlについて．
DSDT.amlはBIOSとOSXがIOに関して整合性を取るためのパッチになる．
通常のPCだとBIOSはACPIのテーブル集合体になっている．
WindwsではACPIの規格に沿ったIO管理がなされているので意識する必要は無いが．OSXの場合そもそもAppleの純正ハードウェア以外で動作させる事を想定していない．その為にDSDT.amlを用いてACPIのテーブルをパッチしてOSXと整合性が取れるようにしている．

・Chameleonについて．
Chameleonとはブートローダの一種で，Linuxで言うGLUBと同じ働きをするが，Chameleonの場合DSDTパッチを当てる，EFIをエミュレーションするなど，OSXをPCで使うための機能が充実している．

.kextファイルについて．
これはWindowsで言うドライバパッケージと同じと言えばわかりやすいだろうか．
OSXではExtensionsディレクトリ内に置くことで一元管理されている．

EFIについて．
OSXではWindowsのようなレガシーなBIOSを使わない仕様となっている．
EFIと呼ばれるモジュールでIOの管理を行っている．
OSXをPCで使う場合，何らかの方法でEFIを実装する必要がある訳だ．
そこで登場したのがChameleonと呼ばれるブートローダになる．

com.apple.boot.plistについて．
この中にはOSXがブートする段階で必要になる設定情報が記載されている．
例えばブート時のレゾリューションやカーネルのモードなど．

smbios.plistについて．
この中には本体のシリアル番号，UUID，メモリ規格，バススピード，プロセッサスピード等が記載されている．これを弄ることによって自作機をiMacにしたり，MacProにしたり出来る．

と，ここで夢から覚めました．

DSDT from ubuntu

このトピックは次に書く DSDT の編集方法への前準備ともいえます。

まず、何故 DSDT を編集するのかということから簡単に触れておきます。
ACPI で定義されている DSDT は、マザーボード上にあるデバイスの一覧と、 ACPI イベント（スリープなど）へのデバイスの対応を記述しています。 MacOS では、 EFI を使ってデバイスの一覧やドライバのローディングの情報源として使うのですが、 Chameleon が DSDT / EFI への変換／パッチを行ってくれます。

アップルは、自分でハードウェアを作っているので正しい ACPI テーブルを提供しているのですが、多くの PC ハードウェアの ACPI は、 MacOS X が必要とする項目が ACPI テーブルの中に無かったり、また完全に間違っている場合もあります。
ACPI テーブルの間違いは、はっきり言って蔓延していて Linux や FreeBSD などの OS でも問題になることがよくあります。
このため Linux / FreeBSD などでも DSDT テーブルの置き換える方法が存在します。　OSx86 の場合は、 Chameleon がこの面倒を見てくれます。

というわけで、未知のマザーボードを使う場合、まず最初にすることは DSDT テーブルを見て、 MacOS X とそのドライバーが必要としている情報がそろっていることを調べます。

例えば HDAEnabler.kext などは、 EFI に対して AppleHDA.kext がロードできるのに必要な EFI 情報を書き込むことで、 AppleHDA がロードできます。　DSDT を変更して DSDT.aml （ACPI の DSDT の置き換え）を /Extra/DSDT.aml においておくことで、 Chameleon がブート時に DSDT を置き換えることで HDAEnabler.kext は不要になるということになります。

と、長い前置きでした。
● 用意するもの
Ubuntu の live CD をダウンロードして焼く
[オプション] ここに添付してある Python スクリプトを USB メモリなどにコピーしておく。（Ubuntu live CD が動作している間にダウンロードできるので、必ずしもコピーする必要は無い）
取得した ACPI を保存する場所　（USB メモリなり、ネットワークのNASなど）
インターネット　ー　いくつかの Ubuntu パッケージをインストールするので必ず必要
● 手順

１．Ubuntu をブートする

2．System / Administration / Software Sources 起動して Ubuntu Software タブの

Canonical-supported (main)
Community-maintained (universe)
Proprietary (restricted)
Software restricted by copyright (multiverse)
Source code

をすべて選択する。 Close ボタンを押すとダイアログが「The iformatio about available software is out-of-date」と出るので、 "Reload" を選ぶ

３．Terminal で以下のコマンドを実行

sudo aptitude update
sudo aptitude install acpidump
sudo aptitude install zip

sudo python acpi-dump.py

これで ACPI-Tables-日付.zip が作成される
この zip ファイルにダンプされた ACPI テーブルが全部入っている
このファイルを USB メディアなどにコピーする

Ubuntu は USB フラッシュメモリなど自動的にマウントしてくれるので新しいウィンドウが開いた後、Places/Home Folder などからもう一つウィンドウを開いてコピーすればおしまい。

ついでに
sudo lspci -vvv -n > pci-list.txt
として pci-list.txt も保存しておきましょう。
PCI デバイスの一覧です．

また、
sudo aptitude install pnputils
lspnp -vv > pnp-list.txt

で ISA PNP の情報もとっておきます。（ついでだし）　パワーボタンなどや HPET の有る無しなどもわかるので、後々必要になる場合があります。（私はありました。）

この３つの情報があれば、ハードウェアの情報はすべてカバーできているはずです．

ネットブックに『Mac OS X』を搭載する方法
非Apple製品のネットブックで「Mac OS X」を稼働させるための手順
Brian X. Chen 『Eee PC』にMac OS Xをインストールした動画。Wired how toセクションの英文記事「Run Mac OS X on an Eee PC」より
米Apple社には、安価で機能を抑えたネットブックを提供する予定は今のところない。それなら、自分で作ってしまったらどうだろうか？
ここでは、ネットブックの1つである『MSI Wind』に、改変版の『Mac OS X Leopard』をインストールする方法について紹介する。
まずは、改変版Mac OS X Leopardをダウンロードできるサイトをお教えしよう。また、『OSX86 Tools』(ZIPファイル)も、ダウンロードおよびインストールしなくてはならない。
次に、Mac OSをUSBフラッシュ・ドライブ(最低でも4GBの容量が必要)に保存し、ネットブックにコピーする方法を詳しく説明する。参考のため、以下にその手順を段階ごとに説明しておいた。これらの作業は純正の『Mac』で行なわなければならない。
(免責事項：以下の手順は、Apple社のMac OS X向けエンドユーザー使用許諾契約書(EULA)に違反する可能性がある。次の手順に従って作業をしたいと考えるなら、必ず正規版のMac OS X Leopardを所有しておくこと)
1. Utilitiesフォルダの中の『Disk Utility』を起動する。使用するUSBドライブを選び、Eraseタブの下に表示される「Mac OS Extended (Journaled)」を選択する。
Partitionタブを選んで、Optionsをクリックし、Master Boot Recordを選択する。OKを選んでApplyをクリックする。
2. Disk UtilityでUSBドライブを選択した状態で、Restoreタブを選択する。Sourceに改変版Mac OS X(MSIWindosx86.iso)のイメージ・ファイルを、Destinationに使用するUSBドライブを選択する。それからRestoreをクリックする。
3. OSX86 Toolsを起動する。「Install EFI/Run FDISK」をクリックする。ツールをインストールしてから、「Run Script」を選択する。すると『Terminal』のウィンドウが開くので、管理パスワードを入力する。次に「4」を入力するとChameleon EFIが起動する。その後はウィンドウに表示されている指示に従い、Mac OS Xのコードを自分のUSBドライブにインストールする。
4. USBドライブを取り出し、MSI Windに挿入する。F11を押しながらMSI Windを起動させ、起動ディスクに、3の工程で使ったUSBドライブを選択する。
5. 『Mac OS X Installer』が起動する。Install Summaryに達したら、必ず「Customize」をクリックして「Patches」を選択し、「Kernel」のチェックを外す。
6. インストールを実行し、再起動すると、MSI WindにOS Xが搭載されているというわけだ！
MSI Windの無線LANカードを、Mac OSと互換性のある米Dell社の『Dell DW1390 Mini express card』に換装する方法も説明しよう。このカードは、『eBay』で10ドル程度で売られている。これは、MSI Windの裏カバーを外して、元の無線LANカードを取り出し、Dell社のカードと取り替えるだけの簡単な作業だ。

2. DSDT Pacherを実行する。ターミナルが自動的に開き次の表示で止まるので、リターンキーを押す。

4. 以下の表示が出て、dsdt.amlが生成される。

5. ターミナルを終了する。

6. DSDT Pacherのフォルダーに、dsdt.amlファイルが生成される。これをDSDT.amlにリネームする。

7. このファイルを/Extraファルダーにコピーする。新しいターミナルを開いて以下のコマンドを実行する。管理者パスワードを聞いてくるので入力する。

<ユーザー名>$ sudo cp /Users/<ユーザー名>/Desktop/DSDT_Patcher/DSDT.aml /Extra

　※上記例はデスクトップにDSDT Pacherフォルダーがある場合。

8. 再起動する。
